Jews Don’t Count: A Times Book of the Year 2021

* Although just before this book went to print, there was an op-ed piece in the New York Times entitled ‘The Woman Behind the Million Man March’ whose agenda was taken by some Jews as an attempt to rehabilitate Farrakhan. When the issue of potential Jewish offence was pointed out to the author, academic Natalie Hopkinson, she tweeted, ‘Somehow among a million concerns, you believe that yours are supposed to rise to the top. That is called privilege’; and in a second tweet, ‘Ppl who have become white should not be lecturing black ppl about oppression.’ Which is perhaps the best example I’ve ever seen of Schrödinger’s Whites, from the point of view of a progressive observer: a progressive observer who sees no problem with telling Jews not just what they are, but what they have mutated into.
